Applicants are invited from suitably qualified persons to apply for scholarships in Cuba tenable in the 2023/2024 academic year. Scholarships are available for undergraduate and post graduate courses in Medicine and Nursing.
ELIGIBILITY
The following persons are eligible to apply:
Citizens of Barbados
Established Requirements:
Be under 25 years of age
Be the holder of a bachelor’s degree or a secondary school graduate.
A student from a low-income family and cannot afford to study in his/her own country.
Health certificate with negative HIV tests, female applicants are also required to provide an official document proving that they are not pregnant and;
A police certificate of character.
Areas of Study-
MEDICINE- Undergraduate/Postgraduate
NURSING- Undergraduate
Documentation to be submitted:
An official copy of Secondary School or Degree Certificate.
A certified copy of the Student Academic Report of the Final year of Secondary School, in addition to official copies of CXC/CAPE certificates, OR the College Transcript (where applicable).
An original general Health Certificate, including HIV status as well as an official medical certificate showing that the applicant is not pregnant (for female).
A Police Certificate of Character, proving there is no criminal record.
The student’s original Birth Certificate.
Ten (10) Passport size photographs.
Scholarship Assignment ticket, original, with all information requested signed and stamped
All documents must be duly legalized by the Ministries of Health and Wellness, Education, Technological and Vocational Training, and Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
