ELIGILIBITY
Applicants must:
- be citizens of Barbados
- be between the ages of eighteen (18) and forty (40): and
- have been accepted at an Internationally accredited University
Programmes offered at campuses of the University of the West Indies will not be considered.
VALUE
The scholarship covers:
(a) One (1) direct economy class ticket to the country of study at the commencement of the course, and one (1) return ticket to Barbados on completion of the programme.
(b)Full tuition fees, payable directly to the University,
(c) A book allowance of $1,000.00 (once)
(d)A clothing allowance of $736.00 (once), applicable for students pursuing studies in cold countries.
(e) Living allowance of:
$6,300.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in the USA.
$5,880.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in Canada.
$7,560.00 per annum for students pursuing studies in the United Kingdom.
OBLIGATION
Successful applicants will be required to enter a bond with sureties to return and work in Barbados on completion of the course, on the basis of one year for each year of the award.
