The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training (METVT) is seeking to implement the Domestic Summer Programme 2023. In this regard, the METVT is inviting sealed quotations from local contractors to carry out specific maintenance/repairs to the schools listed below during July to August 2023:
Contractors are invited to obtain the relevant Scope of Works from the Education Technical Management Unit (ETMU), ‘Elsie Payne Complex’, Constitution Road, St. Michael between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 pm. The list of schools and brief description of repairs will also be made available for review on the website www.mes.gov.bb and reservations can be made for collection of the desired Scope of Works.
The cost of the Scope of Works and relevant drawings where applicable for each school will be $10.00 and $15.00 respectively.
For works which exceed $50,000.00, successful contractors will enter into a contract and will be required to provide a surety for the due performance of the contract by way of:
a) a deposit with the Treasury of a sum of money or approved securities to the value of not less than 10 percent of the contract price; or
b) approved securities to the value of not less than 10 percent of the contract price; or
c) a bank or accredited insurance company whose liability is not less than 10 percent of the contract price. The cost of obtaining such a surety shall be the responsibility of the contractor. (Contractors need not make arrangements for sureties unless and until they are notified of their tender being selected).
All proposals must be submitted on the original Scope of Works document previously obtained from the ETMU, accompanied by the completed Form of Tender stating the name of the firm making the proposal, the proposal, name and number of a contact person, the quotation amount and expected duration for completion of the works.
All quotations should reach the ETMU at the address below no later than 4:30pm on Monday, 3 July 2023.This deadline will be strictly observed.

All Value Added Tax (VAT) registered entities must submit VAT inclusive prices.
A valid Certificate of Registration for the company must also be submitted.
No quotation will be considered unless it complies with the conditions set out in this Notice.
Contractors are advised to visit the schools of their interest prior to pricing the Scope of Works.
The ETMU does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any quotation.
