Welcome to the registration process for our Digital Skills Course Programme! This initiative is designed specifically for individuals aged 11–18 who are eager to build foundational computer and digital literacy skills that will support their academic development and future success.
The programme officially begins on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, and will run for a total of 12 classes, held weekly on Saturdays over a three-month period. All sessions take place in person at St. Leonard’s Boys’ Secondary School.
Please ensure to register by June 27th, 2025 as seats to the classes are limited. For each course, participants are required to meet the attendance requirement to receive their certificate.
Course Options & Schedule:
1. Basic Microsoft Office - Time: Saturdays| 10a.m.-12p.m.
a)Basic Microsoft Word
o Creating, editing, and formatting documents, inserting images and tables, navigating Microsoft Word toolbars
b) Basic Microsoft Excel
o Creating and managing workbooks
o Entering and formatting data, modifying worksheets, sorting data, and other basic spreadsheet functions.
c) Basic Microsoft PowerPoint
o Creating and formatting slides
o Adding images, text, animations, transitions and videos
o Presenting slideshows
2. Introduction to Computers - Time: Saturdays| 12p.m.-2p.m.
o Basic computer parts (hardware) and programs (software)
o How operating systems work (Windows and macOS)
o Organizing files and folders (file management)
o Using the internet (internet navigation)
o Sending and receiving emails (email communication)
o Staying safe online (online safety)
