A.1. Central Office:
The Central Office controls the full operation of the School Meals Service and is divided into five (5) sections of activities:
1. Personnel - general office management, and housekeeping, arrangements for appointments, promotions, transfers and discipline of staff, transport.
2. Nutrition - which consists of three (3) School Meals Officers, One(1) Senior School Meals Officer. Their duties include menu planning, inspection and quality of food, on-the-job training, supervision of the programme at schools.
3. Supplies - receipt, storage and distribution of non-food supplies, accounting fully for the same.
4. Plant and Work - ensuring that all installation and maintenance of plant and equipment are done in accordance with approves specification. Also ensure that buildings are constructed according to plans and properly maintained.
5. Accounts - preparation of estimates, control of the accounting system, payment of wages, salaries and bills, purchasing of food for use at the Centres.
