Amendment to Registration

(i) Addition of a Subject (CSEC) - Bds $28.00 and late fee of Bds $50.00.

(ii) Addition of a Subject unit (CAPE) - Bds $42.00 and late fee of Bds $50.00.

(iii) Changes in Proficiency and Subjects (CSEC) - Amendment fee of Bds $50.00.

(iv) Changes in Subject and Subject units (CAPE) - Amendment fee of Bds $50.00.

Registration for University of Cambridge

Private candidates must complete application forms at the Ministry in person between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Candidates will be required to pay candidate fee and a local entry fee as
follows:-

Candidates attending Government Secondary School $40.00
All Private Candidates - Local fee                              $30.00
Candidate fee                                                            $34.52

All fees should be paid in cash to this Ministry, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

These fees will be subject to change from session to session as they are calculated at the rate of the pound sterling.

Entry Requirements

A candidate should not submit more than one entry for the same
examination.  Each candidate should complete forms in person at the Ministry and should present the following Userfiles/File:-

(i) Barbados Passport
(ii) Barbados Identification Card

Principals who wish to enter a number of candidates must present the above documentation on behalf of the candidates.

Candidates must choose their subjects in such a way that they will not clash
with any other examination.

Clashes of subjects' papers with those of other examining bodies cannot be reconciled or adjusted by this ministry. No alternative arrangements will be made in such cases.

Late payments will be accepted only for the May - June examinations and that fee will be subject to change.

Lost certificates cannot be replaced by this section.  If a certificate is lost, a certified statement showing certificates passed is issued.

Deadlines to be Met

Registration for January CXC examinations starts on September 1  and ends on September 30 and registration for the May/June examinations is from November 1 to November 30.

Cambridge registration periods are from December to February for May/June and July to August for November examinations.

Registration periods for Pitman's Qualification examinations held in July are February and March and for December examinations July and August.

City and Guilds examinations registration periods are July to August and November to December.
